Dear New Hope Presbyterian Preschool parents and families:
It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to close the doors of our beloved New Hope Presbyterian Preschool for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year due to the coronavirus. However, our virtual doors will be opened soon so we can stay connected!
We understand that this is a very uncertain time for many families in our community; therefore, we are making an exception to our policy and waiving tuition payments during April and May. In the same manner, we also want to take care of our cherished teachers by paying them in full during this uncertain time. At this time, the preschool is only able to pay a percentage of each teacher’s normal wages. If you are in a position or feel led to pay your child’s full tuition or a portion of it for the next 2 months, it would be greatly appreciated. Any amount you give will go directly toward making up the difference in the teachers’ wages that we are not able to cover.
In order to make this easier for our families we have set up an account on the Tithe.ly app, which allows you to use a credit/debit card or you can set it up to draft from your back account (using your bank account will take the least amount of fees out of your payment or you can click Cover Fees to help with that portion). Simply search for New Hope Presbyterian Church and be sure to select Pre-School Payment in the TO: drop down box. We thank you in advance for considering the amazing teachers of NHPP and for your help in supporting them during this difficult time for us all.
Although we are closing the physical doors to our school, the teachers have been planning ways to stay connected to you and your children. Beginning in April, they will be in touch with you at least twice per week with activities you can do at home with your child. These may include a craft, a song, the theme or bible verse of the week. Their goal is to provide information to help keep your child on track, guide you on structure, and keep the children in their learning groove! Teachers will also be reaching out to set-up spring parent-teacher conferences for each family via an online tool. And lastly, if we are able to gather in groups by the end of the school year NHPP will be hosting an end of the year picnic and party!
We love our school, our families, the children, and our teachers. We are heartbroken that we can not finish out the school year together in one place; however, we all must stay positive and hope that by doing our part in closing we will be back to life as normal soon!
